A few months ago I was catching up with Sandra Summerhayes and she mentioned that she had just finished a great Personality Dimensions… online! At that point we had been kept very busy answering some often frantic “how do ” calls from Personality Dimensions facilitators. Sandra mentioned that she was thinking about putting something together to help facilitators take their training online, and asked when we thought she should start offering it. My immediate thought was “yesterday!” Because this workshop is designed to address the very issue we had been getting calls about, I thought I’d share this information.
Since then, Sandra has offered this workshop many times to sold-out audiences. I just checked with her to see how registration for the September Delivering PD in the Virtual World workshop is going and was surprised to learn that there are still a small handful of spaces available.
As John Maxwell once said ‘Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.’ As Personality Dimensions facilitators adapting to the new normal, (whatever that’s going to become) this growth opportunity lies in taking the original Personality Dimensions content and adapting it to an ever-evolving virtual landscape. The content remains the same, the delivery method is changing.

She just noticed the calendar and realized it is just past the 44th anniversary of her introduction to career and type and temperament materials. Those experiences and the expertise she gained through her years with the Guidance Centre, University of Toronto, and now with CLSR, continue to shape the direction that both CLSR and Personality Dimensions® take.

Denise, Nice to hear from you and see your picture! Can’t believe you’ve been in Personality Type for 44 years, incredible. Bet you can’t believe it either, the time has probably flown by when you’re in the middle of all these exciting new ideas swirling around constantly.
It’s been subduing for me, ENFJ, to be confined when I’m used to being a Social Butterfly. My ENTJ daughter’s IT Communications contract finished in April and she’s not been able to find a new contract since. But she’s signed up for online classes, Zoom meetings with friends, playing brain games, etc. and keeps busy!
So …are you planning to do research on how Extroverts/Introverts and the other dichotomies are managing in this world-wide crisis??? Miss you, and our fun OAAPT meetings at your office. Linda Rose

Hello John. online learning has certainly come a long way from when we launched our first guide for delivering Personality Dimensions online in 2012. We also moved to beautiful Aurora, Ontario in 2016.
Any changes we make to the Personality Dimensions methodology don’t come lightly, and can only be implemented after extensive research and testing. Because Personality Dimensions is the cumulative work of many, there are also a number of agreements in place with authors and other stakeholders. Your proposal, unfortunately, could not work within these constraints.
While we still feel that in-person is the best way to get the most out of Personality Dimensions, we recognize that this just isn’t an option right now. We continue to work with members of the Personality Dimensions community to create innovative solutions for keeping up with the times.
